Litigants in Person – summary of learned papers – practical advice on the character of some litigants in person such as obsessiveness, flooding of documents by them and irrelevant material – inability of LIP to to refer to or understand evidence, – being professionally careful in avoiding a complaint such as – Special reference to being smug or assuming or dismissive in relation to a LIP – vexatious litigants in person and frivolous applications – duties as ICL – preparing the client – special reference to Family Law – Dealing fairly with LIP so as to avoid an appeal, show courtesy consistent with your client’s interests, duty to the Court and procedural fairness.
