Port Macquarie is a fine travel and relaxing destination. Thanks to its waterways and beautiful beaches. The town houses the Billabong Zoo, a koala breeding centre and wildlife park. Port Macquarie is also home to the Koala Preservation Society’s Koala Hospital which cares for the injured koalas in the region.

The Port Macquarie Courthouse
Architect James Barnet built the original Port Macquarie courthouse was built in 1869. It was vacated in 1986. The current town courthouse sits on Murray Street.
