Maxine commenced at Hunter Street Chambers on 8 August 2023.
As Clerk, Maxine is responsible for the overall administration and management of Hunter Street Chambers. This includes the team’s diary management, acceptance of briefs, providing information and advice to solicitors as to the various areas of practice, as well as rates and fees for our Barristers. She is very ably assisted on Monday and Friday by Madeline Garrett-Jones and Maddison Battese.
Maxine is a highly experienced Clerk, having gained that experience working as a Legal Assistant at the Legal Aid Commission of NSW before becoming a Personal Assistant to partners in two local medium-sized law firms with experience in Family and Criminal law for over 20 years.
Maxine is a member of the NSW Barristers Clerk’s Association and the NSW Bar Association.

Madeline started at Hunter Street Chambers in July 2017 as a Receptionist and offers administrative assistance to the Clerk and other members of Chambers.
She is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Business at the University of Newcastle.
